South from Taba itself, Taba Heights is a custom-built resort on one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in the Gulf of Aqaba, close to Egypt's border with Israel, and a short boat trip from Jordan. Much more low key than Sharm el Sheikh, further down the coast, it offers a wide choice of 4 and 5 star hotels, which means there is no lack of high quality dining and entertainment.

The hotels are grouped around the resort's own 18 hole, PGA-designed golf course which offers the opportunity to tee off from spectacular desert scenery towards an expanse of blue ocean. They offer a range of packages for beginners to experts.

There is a shuttle bus service linking the hotels, beaches, golf course and the "downtown" area. As well as shopping, the downtown area has several bars and restaurants. In fact, most hotels have a restaurant here, so you can even eat out as part of your all incusive package!

Like the rest of the Red Sea, Taba is a divers paradise, with many popular dive and snorkelling sites offering undisturbed coral gardens and a stunning array of reef fish. Its location, on the border with Israel, and just a short ferry trip from Jordan, also makes it an excellent hopping off point for excursions to Petra, the Dead Sea and Jerusalem.
