Things to see and do

By day, you’re spoiled for water-based activities in Sharm el Sheikh. The area is one of the world’s best-known scuba diving locations, and has excellent snorkelling. There are many diving schools to choose from. Glass-bottomed boat trips are a popular way to see the beautiful coral reefs. Windsurfing, sailing and kite surfing are available for the active, though a great many visitors prefer to relax on the beautiful sandy beaches. On land, horse and camel riding, quad-biking, and desert safaris are popular pursuits. There are, of course, excursion opportunities to explore further afield, including Cairo, the Nile and Jordan.
