Your holiday price

Here is our handy guide to what is included in the price of your holiday to Egypt, child pricing, plus the conditions for our main special offers.

Lowest price guarantee

We don't think you can find our holidays elsewhere for less, but if you do, we promise to match the lowest available brochure price and beat it by a further £10.

The price-matched holiday must be for a minimum of two full-fare paying passengers, and based on:

• brochure price
• identical party size and mix of adults, children and infants
• identical duration, board basis and room type
• charter airline flights departing within 4 hours of the Red Sea Holidays option

The holiday must be available to book – we will require proof of availability at the claimed price.

This guarantee applies to ABTA/ATOL bonded tour operators' brochure priced holidays, excluding insurance, and booked more than 8 weeks from the date of departure. It excludes scheduled flights and low cost airlines, last minute deals, special offers, travel agent discounts, and group discounts.

To claim a price match, you or your travel agent must advise us of the claim prior to confirming the booking, and provide proof of the availability of the holiday at the claimed price at the time of booking.

Pricing your holiday

The price panels in the brochure show our basic lead-in prices per person plus the supplements for some common upgrades and options. The price includes taxes, Air Passenger Duty, aircraft insurance, security, fuel and other associated costs. These prices are influenced by many factors including currency exchange rates, economic conditions and suppliers? costs, so we review prices regularly.

Very rarely, and only when we cannot avoid it, we may have to alter prices or introduce surcharges. Much more commonly, however, our prices will go down. For this reason we always recommend visiting our website, giving us a call or speaking to your travel agent to confirm our latest prices.

To help you compare the prices in our brochure, please note the following:

• Lead-in prices shown are per person based on two adults sharing (unless otherwise specified).
• Prices are correct at time of going to print, but are subject to change and may go up or down.
• The lead-in price for each date band applies to selected departures within that date range; there may be specific departures for which a higher price applies.
• Flight supplements may apply; see Flight Information for details.
• Child prices apply subject to sharing accommodation with a minimum of two full fare paying passengers per booking. They are either ‘guaranteed’ or ‘from’. Where they are ‘guaranteed’, the child price specified applies. Where they are ‘from’, prices vary by date and by number of children on the booking.
• Room upgrade and board basis supplements shown are per person, per night.
• Under-occupancy supplements will apply where fewer than the specified number of guests are booked per room; see Under-Occupancy Supplements.

Room supplements

Unless otherwise specified, the prices in this brochure are based on 2 adults sharing a standard room, and the specified board basis. Other room types and board basis options may be available at a supplement, which is shown in the price panel. For a detailed quotation, including these supplements, visit our website, give us a call, or ask your local travel agent.

Children and infants do not count towards occupancy levels, so it may be more economical for a single adult travelling with children to book the first child at the full adult rate. A ‘Single Parent Saving’ of £75 will apply in this circumstance. 

Where single rooms are available, a Single Room Supplement is shown, stated as per person, per night.

What your price includes

Accommodation

Prices as shown in the price panel, plus any room type or board upgrade requested, and any under-occupancy supplements that apply.

Meals

As detailed in the hotel description.

Flights

Return flights from your chosen UK airport to the specified destination. Flight supplements may apply; these vary by route and date. See ‘Flight Information’ for details.

Luggage allowance

A minimum of 20 kg per person (excluding infants).

In-flight meals

In-flight catering on outbound and return flights.

Resort transfers

Return coach or mini bus transfer between the airport and your hotel.

Representative service

You will have full representative service from the dedicated Red Sea Holidays resort team.

In addition, the price includes:

• Taxes known at time the brochure was published.
• Air Passenger Duty (APD) – see Air Passenger Duty.
• Aviation fuel costs at time of booking – see Extra Charges
• Charges for security, aircraft insurance, and associated costs.
• ATOL Protection Contribution (APC) – the price of your holiday includes £2.50 per person as part of the ATOL Protection Contribution we pay to the Civil Aviation Authority. This provides financial protection in the unlikely event of our business failure. The amount you have paid will be shown on your confirmation invoice.

What your price does not include

Travel Insurance

It is a condition of travel with us that you have adequate travel insurance. This should provide cover for emergency medical treatment and repatriation to the UK. You will be liable for any costs that we incur as a consequence of you not having travel insurance. See Booking Conditions.

Credit card charges

A fee of 2.5% applies to bookings made by credit card (3.0% for American Express). This is to help cover some of the high fees that the credit card companies charge us. No fee applies for payments by debit card.

Locally collected taxes and visas

There are no entry or departure taxes in Egypt currently, but purchase of a tourist visa may be necessary. See Passport and Visa Information.

Optional excursions

Unless pre-booked in the UK with Red Sea Holidays, when only a deposit will be taken.

Excess baggage charges

Charges will apply if you exceed your aircraft baggage allowance. There may also be additional charges for sports equipment.

Local charges

Your hotel may charge extra for some optional items; see ‘Local Charges’ below.

Local charges

There may be additional charges for some optional services and facilities at your hotel. We have indicated in the hotel descriptions where these apply, but examples include:

• Hotel-run kids' clubs, baby-sitting, meals for infants, highchairs and cots.
• Premium brand drinks, speciality teas, coffees and freshly squeezed fruit juices.
• Selected à la carte menu items or use of certain restaurants and bars at All Inclusive hotels.
• Use of restaurants and bars at All Inclusive hotels, outside specified serving times (eg late night bar service)
• Safety deposit facilities, room service, mini-bar, premium TV channels, telephone calls and internet access.
• Facilities such as sun loungers, indoor pools, spa and massage facilities, sauna, table tennis, billiards and other sporting equipment.

Child pricing

Guaranteed Child Price

At Red Sea Hotels and Grand Cruises accommodation (excluding the Makadi Spa Hotel and MS Grand Rose), the child price is a flat rate per child, regardless of duration or departure date. The flat rate prices are:

• Red Sea Hotels £419
• Grand Cruises £459
• Cruise & Stay £499

Infants

A £50 flat rate applies to children aged less than 2 years on the date of their return flight. Infants do not receive a separate flight seat or baggage allowance (see Flight Information ‘Infants’ section). The hotel may charge extra for cots, etc.

Child price conditions

• Each child must be between age 2 and 11 or between age 2 and 12 years old on date of return flight, as specified on the hotel/ship price panel.
• Each Infant must be under 2 years old on date of return flight.
• You must book the holiday based on the child's age on the date of the return flight. For example, if you book a child fare for a 12 year old who would turn 13 before the return flight, the child price no longer applies and you will have to pay the full adult fare plus any admin charges before departure.
• Child prices apply subject to sharing a room with minimum of 2 full fare paying passengers per booking. For instance, for 2 adults and 1 child, the child qualifies for a child price. For 1 adult and 2 children, the first child would be charged the full fare adult price, and the second child would pay the child price.
• Children do not count towards room occupancy.
• Children must pay the full adult deposit. No deposit is charged for infants.

Where we offer discounts on our brochure prices, these can vary at short notice and are subject to change or withdrawal without notice. See website, call us, or speak to your travel agent for details.

Summer 2012 - save up to £100 offer

Offer shown applies on holidays departing 01 May to 31 October 2012, and booked by 29 February 2012. The saving is per booking, not per person. The discount value varies by hotel and date.

Winter Sun 2012/2013 Price Freeze

Prices for holidays departing 01 November 2012 to 30 April 2013 have been held at the same or lower price as the brochure prices for the same period in 2011/2012. For peak dates that vary, for example Easter, the price will be equivalent, but it may be in a different date band.

Upgrade Offers

Room type, board basis and "no single supplement" upgrade offers apply on brochure price holidays booked by 29 February 2012 and are subject to availability. The upgrade will be applied at time of booking. Unless otherwise stated: 

• Offers apply on holidays departing 01 May-30 June 2012, 01-18 December 2012 and 01-31 January 2013.
• Room upgrade, board upgrade and no single supplement offers cannot be combined.
• Room upgrades will be from the hotel's Standard Room to the next grade of room, typically Superior Room or Junior Suite.
• Board upgrades will be from the hotel's standard board to the next option specified in the price panel, typically from Bed & Breakfast to Half Board.
• No single supplement offer means that the single room supplement will be waived for a solo traveller.

Deposit

When booking more than 10 weeks in advance, a deposit is payable. The balance of the holiday is then due for payment 10 weeks from the date of departure.

Full deposit

The full holiday deposit is £150 per person, including any children or free group places.

If we have to make special flight arrangements that involve non-refundable "restricted fares", we reserve the right to charge you the full cost of these flights by way of a higher deposit. Where this applies, we will advise you of the the increased deposit cost before confirming your booking.

Low deposit offers

Where a low deposit offer is shown, the low deposit amount is taken at the time of booking. The balance of the full deposit (ie £150 full deposit minus the amount of low deposit paid) is due for payment 10 weeks after booking. In the event of cancellation, the full deposit amount must be paid. Current low deposit offers:

• £50 per person. This is a limited offer and applies to holidays departing 01 January 2012 to 30 April 2013. The deposit amount will revert to £150, from 01 March 2012.

Single parent saver

Discounted child prices are based on sharing with 2 adult fare-paying guests. When a single adult shares a room with a child, the child price would not apply, and the child would be due to pay the adult fare. Our Single Parent Saver gives a price reduction of £75 in this case. Any second or subsequent child then qualifies for the child price as shown.

Group bookings

When travelling as a group of10 adults or more, you may be entitled to free/discounted places at selected hotels and departure dates, subject to availability.

Plus

• Free name change up to 14 days prior to departure
• Free pre-booked seats (where available) – so the group can sit together
• Depart from different airports – passengers in the group can fly from separate UK airports
• Separate, exclusive welcome meeting for groups of 30 or more.

Terms & Conditions:

• Free or discounted group places:
  
  • apply to the basic holiday price, excluding supplements
  • do not count towards room occupancy
  • cannot be combined with any other offers
  • are only available on charter flights.
• All applicable supplements are payable in full.
• The group must make a single booking, at the same time. Additional passengers added to the booking at a later stage will not qualify towards the group discount.
• The group booking must be made 8 weeks or more prior to the date of departure.
• All members of the group must stay at the same accommodation.
• Members of the group can depart from separate UK airports, subject to availability. All outbound and return flights must be within 2 days of each other.
