Beaches in Makadi Bay, EgyptMakadi Bay is around 25km south of Hurghada, and sits in a sweeping natural bay where white sands fringe an azure sea. Palm parasols line the beaches outside many hotels, perfect for basking in the constant sunshine. Many hotels in the bay offer a variety of water sports and the diving and snorkelling at the offshore reef is superb. The closeness of the reefs does mean that some beaches can have areas of sharp rocks and coral as you near the sea. Hotels will usually designate safe swimming areas, but beach shoes are recommended.
